A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to kewalo basin.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  The legislature acknowledges that the department of the attorney general issued opinion number 2007-02 stating its belief that Act 3, Special Session Laws of Hawaii 2007, violates the Hawaii constitution.  This Act serves to repeal Act 3, Special Session Laws of Hawaii 2007.

     SECTION 2.  Act 3, Special Session Laws of Hawaii 2007, is repealed.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
