A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the second representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2016-2017:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Waiakea intermediate school, Hawaii
Plans, design, and construction for a new two-story administration building; offices and library on lower level; and new rooms on upper level.

Total funding $15,002,000
B. Waiakea intermediate school, Hawaii
Plans, design, and construction for a new science building.
Plans $1,000

Construction $9,000,000
Total funding $9,002,000
C. Waiakea intermediate school, Hawaii
Plans, design, and construction for electrical systems upgrades for the entire campus.
Plans $1,000
Design $1,000
Construction $250,000
Total funding $252,000
D. Waiakea intermediate school, Hawaii
Plans, design, and construction for a covered walkway from the Physical Education building to the covered playcourt.
Plans $1,000
Design $1,000
Construction $7,000
Total funding $9,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2016.
