A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the fifth representative district.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2015-2016:

     1.   To be expended by the county of Hawaii:

     A.   Hawaiian ocean view well, Hawaii

          Construction of a well in the Hawaiian ocean view area.

          Construction                     $8,000,000

          Total funding                    $8,000,000

     2.   To be expended by the department of education:

     A.   Konawaena high school, Hawaii

          Plans, design, construction, and equipment for track improvements and football field astroturf installation.

          Plans                              $500,000

          Design                             $500,000

          Construction                     $1,000,000

          Equipment                        $1,000,000

          Total funding                    $3,000,000

     3.   To be expended by the judiciary:

     A.   Kona judiciary building, Hawaii

          Plans, design, construction, and equipment for the Kona judiciary building.

          Plans                           $10,000,000

          Design                          $10,000,000

          Construction                    $20,000,000

          Equipment                       $15,000,000

          Total funding                   $55,000,000

     4.   To be expended by the Hawaii health systems corporation:

     A.   Kona hospital, Hawaii

          Plans, design, construction, and equipment for a new hospital in Kona.

          Plans                              $500,000

          Design                             $500,000

          Construction                    $10,000,000

          Equipment                        $1,000,000

          Total funding                   $12,000,000

     B.   Kau Hospital, Hawaii

          Plans, design, construction, and equipment for grounds and drainage improvements.

          Plans                              $250,000

          Design                             $250,000

          Construction                       $750,000

          Equipment                          $750,000

          Total funding                    $2,000,000

     C.   West Hawaii community health center, Hawaii

          Plans, design, construction, and equipment for infrastructure and the construction of a clinic.

          Plans                              $500,000

          Design                             $500,000

          Construction                     $1,000,000

          Equipment                        $1,000,000

          Total funding                    $3,000,000

     5.   To be expended by the University of Hawaii:

     A.   Palamanui/Hawaii Community College, Hawaii

          Plans, design, construction, and equipment to build a new classroom complex, Phase 2.

          Plans                            $1,000,000

          Design                           $1,000,000

          Construction                     $9,000,000

          Equipment                        $9,000,000

          Total funding                   $20,000,000

     6.   To be expended by the department of transportation:

     A.   Kona international airport, Hawaii

          Plans, design, and construction for a federal inspection station.

          Plans                            $5,000,000

          Design                           $2,500,000

          Construction                    $45,000,000

          Total funding                   $52,500,000

     SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015.
