RELATING TO NATUROPATHIC PHYSICIANS.
Requires naturopathic practitioners to fulfill the same education,
examination, and training requirements as physicians or osteopathic
physicians licensed under chapter 453 to qualify for prescription privileges,
prior to the prescription, administration, or dispensing of any prescription
medication. Requires authorization from the department of commerce and
consumer affairs for any naturopathic physician wishing to prescribe,
administer, or dispense any item on the naturopathic formulary.

RELATING TO HEALTH.
Prohibits the manufacture, sale, or distribution of child care products and
toys for young children that contain bisphenol-A or phthalates beginning
1/1/2015. Requires manufacturers to choose safe alternatives. Prohibits the
use of packages and packaging containing lead, cadmium, mercury, and
hexavalent chromium beginning 1/1/2015. Prohibits the Hawaii health systems
corporation from purchasing and using vinyl intravenous solution bags and
vinyl tubing beginning 1/1/2015.

RELATING TO HEALTH.
Establishes that it is a prohibited act under Hawaii's Food, Drug, and
Cosmetic Act to sell, deliver for sale, hold for sale, or offer for sale any
dietary supplement that does not conform to federal good manufacturing
practices for dietary supplements.
