RELATING TO THE HAWAII HOUSING FINANCE AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.

Authorizes the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation Board of Directors to set the salary of the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation Executive Director.

RELATING TO THE HAWAII HOUSING FINANCE AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION.

Allows the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation to issue bonds to eligible developers for infrastructure on land owned by the eligible developer for the construction of affordable housing.

Requires certification that all county and state highways that are or will be contiguous to the residential development are under construction as a condition to the issuance of certain permits.

RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS.

Requires condominium board members and managing agents to disclose potential conflicts of interest in the awarding of contracts.  Requires annual report on complaints and enforcement actions.  Grants the real estate commission enforcement powers over issues relating to the management of condominiums.

RELATING TO PUBLIC HOUSING.

Prohibits smoking anywhere in a public housing project.

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony should indicate:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;

·     The date and time of the hearing; and

·     Measure number. 

 

While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
