Appropriates funds for environmental health programs through the environmental response revolving fund.

RELATING TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL COURTS.

Establishes environmental courts as divisions within the circuit courts to hear all proceedings, including certain chapter 91, Hawaii Revised Statutes, proceedings arising from environmental laws.  Requires the Judiciary to report to the Legislature on the total number of environmental-related cases filed in the last five years.

      Status & Testimony

RELATING TO SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS TO ASSIST SEAWATER AIR CONDITIONING PROJECTS ON OAHU.

Extends the authorization of the issuance of special purpose revenue bonds to Honolulu Seawater Air Conditioning, LLC, for the purpose of design and construction of a seawater air conditioning district cooling system in downtown Honolulu, for an additional five years.  Effective June 30, 2014.

RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS TO ASSIST WITH THE PLANNING, DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, EQUIPPING, LAND LEASES, AND OTHER TANGIBLE ASSETS FOR A RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT WITH ENERGY STORAGE TECHNOLOGY ON THE ISLAND OF MOLOKAI.

Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue bonds to assist Princeton Energy Group or a related special purpose entity with the financing of the planning, design, and construction of a renewable energy project with energy storage technology on the island of Molokai.

RELATING TO THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS TO ASSIST ANAERGIA INC.

Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue bonds to assist Anaergia Inc. with the development of facilities for renewable non-fossil fuel energy production in Maui.

AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL PURPOSE REVENUE BONDS FOR THE PROCESSING OF SEWAGE INTO SEWAGE DERIVED FUEL.

Authorizes the issuance of special purpose revenue bonds to assist a processing enterprise to process sewage to create sewage derived fuel.
