The Committee previously held public hearings on Senate bill(s) that are substantially similar to the following House bill(s).  Please focus your testimony on the differences, if any, between the House and Senate measure(s) listed.

HB 2338 (HSCR636-14) Status & Testimony	RELATING TO TAX CREDIT FOR RESEARCH ACTIVITIES. Clarifies that the credit is not available for research conducted outside of the State.  Eliminates the requirement that the department of taxation certify all research credit claims.  Clarifies that failure of the taxpayer to submit the required survey to the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism is a waiver of the right to claim the credit. HB 2518, HD1 (HSCR762-14) Status & Testimony	RELATING TO STATE PLANNING. Requires the Office of Planning to review and propose updates to the State Planning Act and submit a written report to the Legislature.  Appropriates funds.  Effective January 20, 2050.  (HB2518 HD1)	EGH, WAM [Measure deleted on 03-14-14]
HB 2518, HD1 Proposed SD1 (HSCR762-14) Status & Testimony	RELATING TO STATE PLANNING. Part I: Requires the Office of Planning to review and propose updates to the State Planning Act and submit a written report to the Legislature.  Appropriates funds.  Part II: Requires the board of directors of the high technology development corporation to create a first responders technology campus and cyber security command center. Designates certain properties to be included in the park.  Appropriates funds. Effective January 20, 2050.  (Proposed SD1) Copies of the proposed SD 1 are available from the Senate Document Center and on the Legislature's website:  www.capitol.hawaii.gov.
