The following measure was previously heard on March 12, 2014.
RELATING TO EDUCATION. Requires the lengthening of the school year from 180 days to an unspecified number of days beginning with the 2015-2016 school year. Discontinues the requirements for minimum number of student hours effective at the end of the 2014-2015 school year. Makes an appropriation to the department of education. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

The following measure was previously heard on March 14, 2014.
RELATING TO EDUCATION. Authorizes the state public charter school commission to assess fees to help offset its operating costs. Clarifies the legal status of an approved charter applicant. Makes various amendments to the charter school law for clarity and consistency. Effective 07/01/2050. (SD2)

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
