     Your Committee on Labor & Public Employment, to which was referred H.B. No. 2265 entitled:

"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO THE HAWAII EMPLOYER-UNION HEALTH BENEFITS TRUST FUND TASK FORCE,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to extend the current sunset of the Hawaii Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund Task Force (Task Force) and the lapse date of the appropriation to the Task Force to June 30, 2015.

The Department of Budget and Finance, Hawaii Employer-Union Health Benefits Trust Fund, and the Council Chair of the County Council of Maui provided testimony in support of this measure.

     As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Labor & Public Employment that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of H.B. No. 2265 and recommends that it pass Second Reading and be referred to the Committee on Finance.
