A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO CONTRACTORS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Section 444-1, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending the definition of "RME" to read as follows:

     ""RME" [means], also known as responsible managing employee[.], means the person who qualifies the contracting entity to direct and supervise employees pursuant to chapter 448E."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
