A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to kulani correctional facility.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $20,520,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2014-2015 for correctional rehabilitative programs authorized by Act 117, Session Laws of Hawaii 2012:

     Kulani correctional facility, Hawaii.

          Mental health and substance abuse programs

$ 2,340,000

          Case management, occupational health

$ 3,510,000

          College/vocational readiness tuition/fees

$ 1,170,000

          Vocational training/internships

$ 5,400,000

          Living expenses/rent subsidies

$ 8,100,000

              Total funding                      $ 20,520,000

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of public safety for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2014.
