A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO THE NATIVE HAWAIIAN ROLL COMMISSION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 10H-6, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:
"[[]§10H-6[]]
Dissolution of the Native Hawaiian roll commission. The governor shall
dissolve the Native Hawaiian roll commission upon being informed by the Native
Hawaiian roll commission that it has published notice of any updated roll of
qualified Native Hawaiians, as provided in section 10H-4, and thereby completed
its work. Upon dissolution of the Native Hawaiian roll commission, the
office of Hawaiian affairs shall serve as the repository for the roll of
qualified Native Hawaiians, including all documents, records, and files
associated with the roll."
SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
