A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSE REVOLVING FUND.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $2,600,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2014-2015 to be deposited into the environmental response revolving fund established in section 128D-2, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

     SECTION 2.  There is appropriated out of the environmental response revolving fund the sum of $2,600,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2014-2015 for response actions and preparedness, including removal and remedial actions, consistent with chapter 128D, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act, upon its approval, shall take effect on July 1, 2014.
