A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO PUBLIC HOUSING.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Chapter 356D, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§356D-    Social service partnership.  The authority may enter into a work study program with the University of Hawaii Myron B. Thompson school of social work and may allow the work study program to be implemented at each public housing complex and state low-income public housing project."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015.

Description:

Authorizes the Hawaii public housing authority to establish a work study program with the University of Hawaii Myron B. Thompson school of social work and allow the work study program to be implemented at each public housing project and state low-income public housing project.  Effective 7/1/2015.  (SD1)
