A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to state finances.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Section 37-46, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:

     "[[]§37-46[]] Transfers of non-general funds to the general funds.  (a)  The director of finance shall submit written notification to the legislature within ten days of any transfer of non-general funds to the general fund.

     (b)  The director of finance shall prepare an annual report to be submitted to the legislature [no] not later than twenty days prior to the convening of each regular session on [such] transfers made pursuant to subsection (a) for the preceding fiscal year."

     SECTION 2.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
