A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO DOGS..

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  The Hawaii Revised Statutes is amended by adding a new chapter to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

"CHAPTER

REGISTRATION OF LARGE-SCALE DOG OWNERSHIP

     §   -1  Any individual, firm, partnership, joint venture, association, limited liability company, or corporation who owns, possesses, controls, or otherwise has custody of ten or more dogs that:

     (1)  Are over the age of one year; and

     (2)  Have intact sexual organs

shall register with the department of commerce and consumer affairs."

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
