A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the forty-first representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2014-2015.
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. New high school in Ewa, Oahu
Land acquisition, plans, and design for a new high school in Ewa.
Land acquisition $ 9,998,000
Plans $ 1,000
Design $ 1,000
Total funding $10,000,000
B. James Campbell high school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for air conditioning for entire school.
Design $ 600,000
Construction $10,400,000
Equipment $ 1,000,000
Total funding $12,000,000
C. Ewa elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction of playground equipment; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.
Design $10,000
Construction $70,000
Total funding $80,000
D. Ewa Beach elementary school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for renovation of Buildings F and G; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.
Design $ 760,000
Construction $3,520,000
Equipment $ 20,000
Total funding $4,300,000
E. Ewa Beach elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction for air conditioning in all classrooms; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.
Design $ 320,000
Construction $3,280,000
Total funding $3,600,000
F. Keoneula elementary school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for a photo voltaic system.
Design $ 1,000
Construction $ 49,000
Equipment $ 50,000
Total funding $100,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2014.
