A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the 2nd representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2014-2015.
1. To be expended by the county of Hawaii:
A. Nohea street improvements, Hawaii
Construction and equipment for installation of a six-inch waterline, two fire hydrants, sixteen service laterals, and removal of existing two-inch waterline within Puainako street.

Equipment $ 1,000
Total funding $200,000
B. Santos lane improvements, Hawaii
Construction and equipment for installation of a six-inch waterline, three fire hydrants, twenty service laterals, and removal of existing two-inch waterline within Puainako street.
Construction $499,000
Equipment $ 1,000
Total funding $500,000
2. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Waiakea elementary school, Hawaii
Plans, design, and construction for an administration and library building.
Plans $ 5,000
Design $ 1,200,000
Construction $12,499,000
Total funding $13,704,000
B. Waiakea high school, Hawaii
Plans, design, and construction for a new batting cage.
Plans $ 1,000
Design $ 1,000
Construction $448,000
Total funding $450,000
C. Waiakeawaena elementary school, Hawaii
Plans and construction for a cafeteria.
Plans $ 7,500
Construction $12,000,000
Total funding $12,007,500
D. Waiakeawaena elementary school, Hawaii
Plans, construction, and equipment for a fence around campus and parking.
Plans $ 1,000
Construction $12,000
Equipment $12,000
Total funding $25,000
3. To be expended by the University of Hawaii:
A. Hawaii community college, Hawaii
Design and construction for the acquisition of two office trailers that will be used to accommodate people from buildings that are undergoing renovations. The trailers will eventually be used for permanent offices.

Total funding $2,795,000
B. University of Hawaii at Hilo, Hawaii
Construction of a pharmacy school.
Construction $33,000,000
Total funding $33,000,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2014.
