A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the twenty-third representative district.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $          or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2014-2015 for the purpose of upgrading school and community facilities in the twenty-third representative district to conform to civil defense shelter standards, as follows:

1.   To be expended by the department of education:

     A.   Manoa elementary school

              Plans                        $     

              Design                       $      

              Construction                 $

                   Total funding                     $

     B.   Noelani elementary school

              Plans                        $

              Design                       $

              Construction                 $

                   Total funding                     $

2.   To be expended by the city and county of Honolulu:

     A.   Manoa gym, Manoa valley district park

              Plans                        $

              Design                       $

              Construction                 $

                   Total funding                     $

     B.   Old Manoa gym, Manoa valley district park

              Plans                        $

              Design                       $

              Construction                 $

                   Total funding                     $

     SECTION 2.  The appropriations made for the capital improvement projects authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year for which the appropriations are made; provided that all moneys from the appropriations unencumbered as of June 30, 2016, shall lapse as of that date.

     SECTION 3.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2014.
