A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to long-term care.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Chapter 431, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§431:10H-  Long-term care facilities. Any long-term care insurance policy or certificate delivered or issued for delivery in this State shall cover the care provided to the insured or claimant at adult residential care homes under chapter 321, expanded adult residential care homes under chapter 321, and community care foster family homes under chapter 321."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2014.
