A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the thirty-fifth representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2014-2015:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Waipahu intermediate school, Oahu
Design for new eight-classroom building, ground and site improvements, and equipment and appurtenances.
Design $300,000
Total funding $300,000
B. Waipahu intermediate school, Oahu
Design and construction for three additional multi-purpose playcourts, ground and site improvements, and equipment and appurtenances.
Design $300,000
Construction $1,700,000
Total funding $2,000,000
C. Waipahu high school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for a new classroom building, ground and site improvements, and equipment and appurtenances.
Design $1,400,000
Construction $10,500,000
Equipment $100,000
Total funding $12,000,000
D. Waipahu high school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for improvements to building 1 for culinary arts, ground and site improvements, and equipment and appurtenances.
Design $100,000
Construction $500,000
Equipment $25,000
Total funding $625,000
E. Waipahu high school, Oahu
Design and construction for a campus-wide electrical upgrade, ground and site improvements, and equipment and appurtenances.
Design $250,000
Construction $2,000,000
Total funding $2,250,000
F. Waipahu high school, Oahu
Design and construction for improvements to athletic complex tennis courts, ground and site improvements, and equipment and appurtenances.
Design $100,000
Construction $400,000
Total funding $500,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2014.
