A BILL FOR AN ACT

RELATING TO BODY & SOIL DAY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Chapter 8, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately designated and to read as follows:

     "§8-    Body & Soil Day. April eleventh of each year shall be known and designated as "Body & Soil Day" to promote and support restorative agricultural practices in Hawaii's communities, provided that this day is not and shall not be construed as a state holiday."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
