A BILL FOR AN ACT

relating to the hawaii cancer research special fund.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

     SECTION 1.  Section 304A-2168, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (c) to read as follows:

     "(c)  The following shall be deposited into the special fund:

     (1)  Moneys collected pursuant to section 245-15;

     (2)  All other fees, charges, and other moneys received in conjunction with programs of the cancer research center of Hawaii;

     (3)  Transfers from other accounts or funds; provided that beginning on July 1, 2017, transfers from other accounts or funds shall only be made from accounts or funds that do not contain general funds; and

(4) Interest earned or accrued on moneys in the special fund."

     SECTION 2.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2525.
