A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the forty-first representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2013-2014.
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. James Campbell high school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for air conditioning for entire school.
Design $600,000
Construction $10,400,000
Equipment $1,000,000
Total funding $12,000,000
B. New high school in Ewa, Oahu
Land acquisition, plans, and design for a new high school in Ewa.
Land acquisition $9,998,000
Plans $1,000
Design $1,000
Total funding $10,000,000
2. To be expended by the department of transportation:
A. Fort Weaver road, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for drainage at the south end of ewa beach road.

Construction $2,998,000
Total funding $3,000,000
B. Fort Weaver road, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction for adding a third lane on Fort Weaver road from the cross section of Geiger road to Keoneula parkway going both ways.

C. Kunia road, Oahu
Plans, design, and construction to extend third lane over Farrington highway to the H-1 Freeway southbound to the vicinity of Laulaunui street.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2013.
