A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FOURTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2013-2014:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Pahoa high and intermediate school, Hawaii
Construction and equipment for a new administration building.
Construction $9,000,000
Equipment $100,000
Total funding $9,100,000
B. Pahoa high and intermediate school, Hawaii
Construction and equipment for renovations, including lockers, showers, a wrestling room, and wiring for lighting.
Construction $3,500,000
Equipment $100,000
Total funding $3,600,000
C. Pahoa high and intermediate school, Hawaii
Construction to convert a parking area to a playground.
Construction $1,000,000
Total funding $1,000,000
D. Pahoa high and intermediate school, Hawaii
Construction for a covered walkway to building A.
Construction $250,000
Total funding $250,000
E. Pahoa elementary school, Hawaii
Construction and equipment to convert a gym and kitchen to a certified kitchen and dining area.
Construction $900,000
Equipment $100,000
Total funding $1,000,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2013.
