A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Section 304A-2603, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended to read as follows:

     "[[]§304A-2603[]]  Revenue bonds.  The board of regents is authorized to issue sufficient amounts of revenue bonds pursuant to [[]subpart D[]] for the purpose of providing adequate parking structures or other facilities[.]; provided that the legislature has approved the amount of the revenue bonds and the specific projects on which the revenue bonds shall be expended."

     SECTION 2.  This Act does not affect rights and duties that matured, penalties that were incurred, and proceedings that were begun before its effective date.

     SECTION 3.  Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken.  New statutory material is underscored.

     SECTION 4.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2525.

Description:

Requires the University of Hawaii to obtain legislative approval regarding the amount of and specific project on which the revenue bonds will be spent prior to issuing revenue bonds.  Effective July 1, 2525. (HB1069 HD1)
