RELATING TO ENERGY. Establishes a task force to examine changing the 10 percent ethanol requirement for gasoline to a locally-produced biofuels and biodiesel requirement. Establishes Biofuels Production Income Tax Credit. Repeals Ethanol Facility Tax Credit. (SB15 HD2)

RELATING TO EDUCATION. Establishes provisions for charter schools relating to annual independent financial audits, criminal history record checks, enrollment, conflicts of interest and disclosure, facilities funding, and hiring. Makes amendments to the State's Charter School Law for clarity and consistency. Effective July 1, 2050. (SB244 HD1)

RELATING TO HEALTH. Requires health insurers, mutual benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations to provide coverage for autism spectrum disorder treatments. Effective July 1, 2112. (SB668 HD1)

RELATING TO PHYSICAL THERAPY. Regulates physical therapist assistants by limiting the use of certain titles and requiring licensure. Specifies criteria for licensure. Adds a physical therapist assistant to the composition of the Board of Physical Therapy. Appropriates funds out of the compliance resolution fund. Effective July 1, 2030. (SB1074 HD1)

RELATING TO THE DIETITIAN LICENSURE SPECIAL FUND. Authorizes the Department of Health to expend fees from the Dietitian Licensure Special Fund to offset the expenses incurred relating to the licensing of dietitians. Effective July 1, 2030. (SB1124 HD1)

RELATING TO TRANSIENT ACCOMMODATIONS TAX. Repeals the additional Transient Accommodations Tax imposed by Act 61, SLH 2009. Repeals the daily tax on transient accommodations furnished on a complimentary or gratuitous basis imposed by Act 103, SLH 2011. Makes permanent the caps on Transient Accommodation Tax revenue distributions to the Tourism Special Fund and the counties. Effective July 1, 2050. (SB1194 HD1)

RELATING TO CABLE TELEVISION. Requires the Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to work to assess the best method to ensure dedicated funding for a Hawaiian television channel and report to the legislature. Appropriates funds for the production and distribution of Hawaiian language content on cable television. Effective July 1, 2030. (SB1235 HD1)
