RELATING TO THE HAWAIIAN LANGUAGE.

Requires that all letterheads, documents, symbols, and emblems of the State and counties include accurate and appropriate Hawaiian names and language.  Establishes references for accurate, appropriate, and authentic Hawaiian names and words, including proper Hawaiian spelling and punctuation.  Takes effect 1/1/2014.

RELATING TO NATIVE HAWAIIAN CULTURE.

Requires the Hawaii tourism authority to contract with a section 501(c)(3) private nonprofit, engaged in promoting Hawaiian culture, to develop and maintain a comprehensive Hawaiian cultural resources inventory database; appropriates funds; requires dollar-for-dollar match by the office of Hawaiian affairs.

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE NATIVE HAWAIIAN HOSPITALITY ASSOCIATION.

Appropriates funds as a grant pursuant to chapter 42F, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to the Native Hawaiian Hospitality Association for its tourism-related programs.
