RELATING TO MILITARY SERVICE.

Expands the scope of eligibility requirements for the Hawaii Medal of Honor to include additional service members.  (HB1282 HD1)

RELATING TO THE NATIONAL GUARD.

Provides preference for a person who has had at least five years of service as an active commissioned officer in the Hawaii National Guard, whether army, air, or both for eligibility to serve as adjutant general.  Provides second preference for national guard members to serve as adjutant general over members of the armed forces of the United States or a reserve component thereof.  Grandfathers the current adjutant general.  (HB1203 HD1)

RELATING TO UNIFORM MAINTENANCE ALLOWANCE.

Repeals the uniform maintenance allowance for enlisted personnel of the Hawaii National Guard.  Effective July 1, 2013.  (HB527 HD1)

RELATING TO PROFESSIONAL AND VOCATIONAL LICENSING.

Limits licensure by endorsement or reciprocity for nonresident military spouses to those spouses who are present in the State for at least one year pursuant to DOD orders.  Limits consideration of military service or training for licensure by endorsement or reciprocity to veterans honorably discharged within two years of application and excludes medical doctors, dentists, CPAs, and other licencees for which specified endorsement or reciprocity regulations exist.  Effective July 1, 2112.  (HB1381 HD2)

RELATING TO IMPACT FEES.

Requires the assessment and collection of impact fees prior to the issuance of a water meter.  Effective July 1, 2020.  (HB1103 HD1)

Makes permanent the prohibition against urinating or defecating in public within the boundaries of downtown Honolulu.
