RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY. Authorizes the department of public safety to hire retired adult corrections officers to contracts for periods of eighty-nine days or less to reduce overtime expenses of the department.

RELATING TO CORRECTIONS. Establishes a two-year parole pilot program for no more than twenty inmates to be subject to high-intensity parole supervision. Requires DPS to report to legislature. Makes an appropriation for the program.

RELATING TO TORT LIABILITY. Repeals the sunset date and makes permanent the law shielding county lifeguards from liability.
