The Committee on Labor and Public Employment, and the Committee on Health will be holding a joint informational briefing to examine how to provide a sufficient healthcare workforce to serve the people of the State of Hawai‘i, with a special focus on the rural communities and the neighbor islands.  The proposed team approach by the Hilo Medical Center residency program will be discussed as a solution to provide the foundation for future delivery of healthcare services.
