RELATING TO PUBLIC HOUSING.

Moves the State income tax and obligations exemption for public housing agencies from the laws governing the Hawaii housing finance and development corporation to the laws governing the Hawaii public housing authority.

Status

RELATING TO INTOXICATING LIQUORS IN PUBLIC HOUSING.

Prohibits possessing or keeping, while on any sidewalk or common area within a public housing project, any bottle, can, or other receptacle containing any intoxicating liquor which has been opened, has a broken seal, or the contents of which have been partially removed.  Adds "state low-income housing project" to definition of public housing project for purposes of liquor control.

Status

RELATING TO PUBLIC HOUSING.

Expands the scope of the definition of "public housing project" to include any housing project controlled or managed by the Hawaii public housing authority pursuant to federally assisted housing.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony should indicate:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;

·     The date and time of the hearing; and

·     Measure number. 

 

While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

FAX:       For testimony less than 5 pages in length, transmit to 808-586-6211 (Oahu) or 1-800-535-3859 (for Neighbor Islander without a computer to submit testimony through e-mail or the Web); or

WEB:     For testimony less than 10MB in size, transmit from http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/submittestimony.aspx.

 

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
