RELATING TO PUBLIC HOUSING. Moves the State income tax and obligations exemption for public housing agencies from the laws governing the Hawaii housing finance and development corporation to the laws governing the Hawaii public housing authority.

RELATING TO INTOXICATING LIQUORS IN PUBLIC HOUSING. Prohibits possessing or keeping, while on any sidewalk or common area within a public housing project, any bottle, can, or other receptacle containing any intoxicating liquor which has been opened, has a broken seal, or the contents of which have been partially removed. Adds "state low-income housing project" to definition of public housing project for purposes of liquor control.

RELATING TO PUBLIC HOUSING. Expands the scope of the definition of "public housing project" to include any housing project controlled or managed by the Hawaii public housing authority pursuant to federally assisted housing.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website after the hearing adjourns. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
