RELATING TO HOUSING. Appropriates funds for the state rent supplement program for homeless working individuals or families who are ready to rent permanent housing in order to obtain and maintain permanent housing. Appropriates funds for the department of human services to hire and train one program specialist to monitor the rent supplement program. Effective 07/01/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO DEVELOPMENT OF PUBLIC HOUSING. Authorizes the Hawaii public housing authority to develop public housing projects. Authorizes the Hawaii public housing authority to develop commercial and industrial properties in connection with the development of public housing dwelling units. Effective 07/01/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO THE HOUSING LOAN AND MORTGAGE PROGRAM. Updates the Hula Mae Single Family mortgage loan program to allow for broader program participation by potential homeowners, add downpayment assistance as a program feature, and make housekeeping and conforming amendments.

RELATING TO THE HAWAII PUBLIC HOUSING AUTHORITY. Clarifies the power of the Hawaii public housing authority to sell, lease, rent, hold, maintain, use, and operate certain properties. Authorizes the authority to receive all gifts provided they benefit public housing residents. Requires that the acceptance of gifts with an estimated value of $1,000 or more be approved or confirmed by the board. Authorizes the authority to use volunteer services. Exempts the authority from various state laws for the use of volunteer services. Effective 07/01/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO DELETING STATE PUBLIC HOUSING DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS. Authorizes the Hawaii Public Housing Authority to delete delinquent accounts receivable records for state low-income public housing projects that have been delinquent at least ninety days and also authorizes the Hawaii Public Housing Authority to assign delinquent accounts to a collection agency.

RELATING TO PLANNED COMMUNITY ASSOCIATIONS. Creates notice requirements for regular annual meetings or special meetings of a planned community association. (SD1)
