RELATING TO TAXATION.

Provides a nonrefundable income tax credit at fifty per cent of qualified wages for the first six months for a taxpayer who hires a developmentally, intellectually, or physically disabled individual.  Effective July 1, 2030.  (HB1298 HD1)

RELATING TO JUVENILES.

Permits a court to dispose of a juvenile case by referring a child offender to a restorative justice program when the court deems it would be in the best interest of the child and the child admits guilt.  Clarifies and provides examples of restorative justice programs.  (HB182 HD1)

RELATING TO CARE HOMES.

Requires all operators of adult foster homes, assisted living facilities, expanded adult residential care homes, community care foster family homes, and developmental disabilities domiciliary homes to hold a sufficient amount of liability insurance.

RELATING TO PUBLIC HOUSING.

In determining eligibility for state low-income housing, requires that the value of all motor vehicles registered to any tenant be included when determining whether the tenant's annual net income and assets are within established maximum limits for housing eligibility.  Effective July 1, 2030.  (HB532 HD2)

RELATING TO PUBLIC HOUSING.

Authorizes the Hawaii Public Housing Authority to disqualify any applicant or tenant from state low-income housing if the applicant, tenant, or a household member owns or acquires a home within the State.  Effective July 1, 2030.  (HB536 HD1)

RELATING TO THE PUBLIC HOUSING AUTHORITY.

Appropriates unspecified amounts of funds to the HPHA to leverage funds for the redevelopment of the Mayor Wright homes.  Requires dollar-for-dollar matching with private or federal funds before appropriations may be expended.  Effective July 1, 2030.  (HB1119 HD1)

RELATING TO THE ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY POVERTY REDUCTION TASK FORCE.

Establishes the Economic Opportunity Poverty Reduction Task Force to assess state practices that promote economic opportunity and poverty reduction and develop a plan to expand economic opportunities in Hawaii.  Effective July 1, 2030. (HB1188 HD1)
