Status

RELATING TO THE HOSPITAL SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM.

Amend Act 217, Session Laws of Hawaii 2012, to continue the Hospital Sustainability Program by extending the sunset date of the Act, updating the referral dates in the statute, and to revise the funding amount for the hospital sustainability program for fiscal year 2013-2014.  Effective June 29, 2013.  Repealed on June 30, 2014.

Status

MAKING AN EMERGENCY APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES FROM THE NURSING FACILITY SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM SPECIAL FUND.

Appropriates the sum of $12,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2012–2013, out of the Nursing Facility Sustainability Program Special Fund with such moneys to be used consistent with the Nursing Facility Sustainability Program Special Fund, including the reimbursement of moneys advanced for those purposes in fiscal year 2012-2013 from the health care payments program (HMS 401).

Status

RELATING TO THE NURSING FACILITY SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM.

Amends Act 156, Session Laws of Hawaii 2012, to continue the Nursing Facility Sustainability Program by extending the sunset date of the Act, updating the referral dates in the statute, and appropriating funding out of the nursing facility sustainability program special fund for fiscal year 2013-2014.  Effective June 29, 2013.  Repeals June 30, 2014.

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Requires the department of health and the department of human services to post on their respective websites reports of all inspections in which a violation was discovered at certain care facilities by January 1, 2015.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing.  Testimony should indicate:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee(s) to which the comments are directed;

·     The date and time of the hearing; and

·     Measure number.

 

While every effort will be made to incorporate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
