RELATING TO HEALTH. Requires the Department of Health and the Department of Human Services to post on their respective websites reports of all inspections in which violations were discovered at certain care facilities. Effective July 1, 2050. (HB120 HD1)

RELATING TO PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYER ORGANIZATIONS. Repeals chapter 373K, HRS, relating to professional employment organization. Clarifies the regulation of professional employer organizations, and the nexus between the registration of professional employer organizations and qualification for the general excise tax exemption. RELATING TO INDUSTRIAL HEMP. Authorizes the Chairperson of the Board of Agriculture to establish a two-year industrial hemp remediation pilot program. Appropriates funds. Effective July 1, 2050. (HB154 HD1)

RELATING TO FOOD LABELING. Requires all imported genetically engineered fresh produce sold in Hawaii to be labeled as "genetically engineered". Requires disclosure of genetic engineering and compliance with recommendations of the Invasive Species Council upon import. Effective July 1, 2050. (HB174 HD1)

RELATING TO RENTAL MOTOR VEHICLE SURCHARGE TAX. Requires the rental motor vehicle surcharge tax for car-sharing organizations to be prorated at 12.5 cents per hour for rentals of less than six hours and at existing per day rates at or longer than six hours. Defines car-sharing organization. Effective July 1, 2020. (HB551 HD1)

RELATING TO PHYSICAL THERAPY. Requires physical therapist assistants to be licensed in the State. Adds a physical therapist assistant to the Board of Physical Therapy. Appropriates funds. Effective upon approval, taking effect on December 31, 2014. (HB843 HD1)

RELATING TO THE DIETITIAN LICENSURE SPECIAL FUND. Authorizes the Department of Health to expend fees from the Dietitian Licensure Special Fund to offset the expenses incurred relating to the licensing of dietitians.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the legislative website after the hearing adjourns. This public posting of testimony on the website should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
