     Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred S.C.R. No. 169 entitled:

"SENATE CONCURRENT RESOLUTION STRONGLY URGING HAWAII'S CONGRESSIONAL DELEGATION TO SEEK AND OBTAIN ADDITIONAL FEDERAL AID TO THE STATE OF HAWAI‘I FOR THE PROVISION OF EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO MIGRANTS FROM THE COMPACT OF FREE ASSOCIATION NATIONS,"

begs leave to report as follows:

The purpose of this measure is to strongly urge Hawaii's Congressional Delegation to seek and obtain additional federal aid to the State of Hawai‘i for the provision of educational services to migrants from the Compact of Free Association Nations.

     Your Committee received written comments on this measure from the Department of Education.

     As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Finance that is attached to this report, your Committee concurs with the intent and purpose of S.C.R. No. 169 and recommends its adoption.
