Your Committee on Veterans, Military, & International Affairs, & Culture and the Arts, to which was referred H.B. No. 524 entitled:
"A BILL FOR AN ACT RELATING TO THE HONOR AND REMEMBER FLAG,"
begs leave to report as follows:
The purpose of this measure is to officially recognize and honor fallen members of the armed forces in Hawaii. Specifically, this bill adopts, establishes, and designates the Honor and Remember Flag as the State of Hawaii's emblem of service and sacrifice by the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who have given their lives in the line of duty.
As affirmed by the record of votes of the members of your Committee on Veterans, Military, & International Affairs, & Culture and the Arts that is attached to this report, your Committee is in accord with the intent and purpose of H.B. No. 524 and recommends that it pass Second Reading and be placed on the calendar for Third Reading.
