SENATE RESOLUTION
urging the department of business, economic development, and tourism to explore the retention of a new program manager for its EB-5 immigrant investor license or sell or transfer its eb-5 immigrant investor license.
WHEREAS, the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism presently holds a license from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to operate as a EB-5 Immigrant Investor Regional Center; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism presently retains a program manager to run the Hawaii EB-5 Immigrant Investor Regional Center; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Twenty-seventh Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2013, that this body urges the Director of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism to explore the possibility of retaining a new program manager to run the Hawaii EB-5 Immigrant Investor Regional Center or, in the alternative, to sell or transfer its EB-5 Immigrant Investor license; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the Director of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism.
