The following measure(s) has been ADDED to the agenda: SB2350 SD1 HD1
RELATING TO LAND USE. Repeals the prohibition on agricultural tourism activities in the absence of a bona fide farming operation. Repeals the prohibition on ordinances that allow overnight accommodations in agricultural districts. Authorizes agricultural tourism activities, including overnight accommodations of twenty-one days or less, for any one stay within a county with a population greater than two hundred and fifty thousand people, but less than five hundred thousand people; provided that the county has adopted ordinances regulating agricultural tourism. Effective July 1, 2112. (SB2341 HD1)

RELATING TO BUILDING PERMITS. Exempts specified nonresidential agricultural and aquacultural buildings and structures, and their appurtenances, located on commercial farms and ranches located outside of the urban district from certain building permit requirements, under certain conditions. RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL-BASED COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS. Defines agricultural-based commercial operations and authorizes agricultural-based commercial operations in agricultural districts. Includes agricultural-based commercial operations under the definition of "farming operation" in chapter 165, Hawaii Revised Statutes. Effective January 20, 2020. (SB2375 HD1)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW
Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;
· The Committee the comments are directed to;
· The date and time of the hearing;
· Measure number; and
· The number of copies the Committee is requesting.
While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns. This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
