The following measures were previously heard on February 13, 2012. No public testimony will be accepted.
RELATING TO THE ELDERLY. Creates the crime of financial exploitation of an elder and provides enhanced penalties. Requires two signatures of unrelated persons as witnesses to the execution of a power of attorney for health care. Requires financial institutions to report suspected financial abuse to the adult protective services of the Department of Human Services and the appropriate county police department. Effective July 1, 2050. (HD2192 HD1)

RELATING TO PRIVACY RIGHTS. Specifies that a privacy interest does not apply to information regarding complaints made against a professional or vocational licensee if the applicable licensing authority determines that the licensee was given the opportunity to respond to the complaint. Effective July 1, 2112. (HB2298 HD1)
