The purpose of this briefing is to assess the impact the closing of Hawaii Medical Center’s Liver Center will have on patient care and management of liver disease. Also what steps are being taking to effectuate access to other liver specialist on Oahu, as well as any problems that may have arisen?

 

Individuals from the following organizations are invited to offer comments:

 

Hawaii Department of Health

The Queen’s Medical Center

Hawaii Pacific Health

Hawaii Primary Care Association

HMSA

Hepatitis Support Network of Hawaii

Other individuals and former HMC Liver Center patients impacted by HMC’s closure

 

Written comments will be accepted and should be submitted 24 hours prior to the start of the hearing.  Please submit comments to HTHtestimony@capitol.hawaii.gov.
