The Purpose of this informational brief is for the committee to receive information from the departments on the status of their programs and updates on legislations that we passed in the last two sessions. The directors are requested to report the status on projects for affordable housing and affordable rentals, challenges of the Hawaii public Housing Authority, Department of Human Services, Office of Homeless Services to report on funding and program related information pertaining to the implementation of the Housing First Program, and for suggestions or updates from HUD when it comes to federal Housing initiatives that are beneficial to the State.
