Status

RELATING TO ETHANOL.

Repeals the ten per cent ethanol by volume requirement for gasoline sold in Hawaii for use in motor vehicles.  Requires the Hawaii state energy office to submit reports on local ethanol production.

Status

RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Limits the claimable tax credit to each subject property rather than each renewable energy system on a subject property.  Effective 1/1/13 and applies to tax years beginning after 12/31/12.

Status

RELATING TO TAXATION.

Amends various income tax credits to provide that the basis of eligible depreciable property for state income tax purposes shall be reduced by the amount of the tax credit claimed.

Status

RELATING TO TAXATION.

Repeals the sunset provision relating to the tax on naphtha fuel sold for use in a power-generating facility.

Status

RELATING TO RENEWABLE ENERGY.

Prohibits state and county agencies from entering into an energy agreement or contract to install a renewable energy system with a private provider who has claimed the renewable energy technologies tax credit.  Authorizes the issuance of general obligation bonds for renewable energy systems for state facilities.  Effective July 1, 2012.

Status

RELATING TO AIR POLLUTION CONTROL.

Requires all crematoriums operating without air pollution control permits and which were constructed prior to March 20, 1972, to submit permit applications to the department of health by December 31, 2012.

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     The Committee the comments are directed to;

·     The date and time of the hearing;

·     Measure number; and

·     The number of copies the Committee is requesting. 

 

While every effort will be made to copy, organize, and collate all testimony received, materials received on the day of the hearing or improperly identified or directed to the incorrect office, may be distributed to the Committee after the hearing.

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
