RELATING TO CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR PHARMACISTS.

Clarifies the continuing education requirement for pharmacists.

Establishes veterinary license renewal requirement of twenty continuing education credit hours.  (HB2242 HD1)

RELATING TO PROFESSIONAL AND VOCATIONAL LICENSING.

Allows licensing boards to:  (1) allow applicants to demonstrate competency in lieu of work experience requirements; and (2) establish procedures to expedite the issuance of licenses, certifications, or permits to military spouses.  Effective July 1, 2030. (HB2257 HD1)

RELATING TO PROFESSIONAL AND VOCATIONAL LICENSING.

Requires licensing boards to consider military education, training, and service.  Specifies that military training or experience satisfies a licensing authority's training or experience requirements unless it is determined that it is not substantially equivalent to the standards of the State.  Allows the boards to adopt rules.  Effective July 1, 2012.  Sunsets June 30, 2022.  (HB2258 HD2)

RELATING TO THE ONE CALL CENTER.

Makes permanent the exclusion of certain pest control operators' activities from the definition of "excavation".  Effective  January 1, 3000.  (HB1879 HD2)

RELATING TO PROFESSIONS AND VOCATIONS.

Clarifies the definition of "landscape architect".  Replaces the existing definition of "surveyor" or "land surveyor" with definitions for "land surveying" and "professional surveyor", "professional land surveyor", or "land surveyor".  (HB2272 HD2)

RELATING TO THE RESIDENTIAL LANDLORD-TENANT CODE.

Exempts from the residential landlord-tenant code residences in structures directly controlled and managed by the University of Hawaii or any other university or college in the State for the housing of students or faculty and certain private dorm management companies that provide housing to students.  (HB2628 HD2)
