Requires nonresident owners of residential single family dwellings, apartments, or townhouses who rent their property as a transient accommodation for 30 days or less to rent the property through a licensed real estate broker or salesperson.  Provides for penalty. (HB1707 HD1)

RELATING TO DOGS.

Requires sellers of dogs to provide certain information to purchasers at the time of purchase.  Provides for remedies in case the dog purchased is unfit for purchase.  Establishes duties of notice and disclosure for both sellers and purchasers.  Effective July 1, 2112.  (HB2161 HD1)

RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS.

Applies requirement for separate utility metering of nonresidential and residential condominium units to all condominium projects, regardless of when constructed.

Status

RELATING TO THE REGULATION OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND CABLE TELEVISION SERVICES.

Creates a communications division within the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to regulate telecommunications and cable television services; to promote the development of broadband infrastructure; and to advance the provision of broadband, telecommunications, and video programming services.  Effective July 1, 2112.  (HB2524 HD1)

DECISION MAKING TO FOLLOW

 

Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:

·     Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

·     Measure number; and

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns.  This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
