RELATING TO THE MORTGAGE RESCUE FRAUD PREVENTION ACT. Establishes criminal penalties and a mandatory fine for certain violations of the mortgage rescue fraud prevention act. Establishes a special fund to enforce the mortgage rescue fraud prevention act and for related public educational activities.

RELATING TO UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE ARTICLE 9. Implements the amendments to Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code, relating to secured transactions, set forth by the Uniform Law Commission.

RELATING TO PROFESSIONS AND OCCUPATIONS. Authorizes the board of electricians and plumbers to regulate air conditioning pipefitters, fire sprinkler technicians, and solar technicians.

The following measure was heard on Wednesday, January 25, 2012. No public testimony will be accepted.
RELATING TO THE ONE CALL CENTER. Repeals the June 30, 2012, sunset provision in section 5 of Act 72, Session Laws of Hawaii 2009, which makes permanent the exclusion of pest control operators' activities from the definition of "excavation".
