RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL LANDS. Allows the building of ohana dwellings on lands within the agricultural district in any county with a population of 500,000 or less, under certain conditions. (SD1)

RELATING TO BUILDING PERMITS. Exempts specified nonresidential agricultural and aquacultural buildings and structures, and their appurtenances, located on commercial farms and ranches located outside of the urban district from certain building permit requirements, under certain conditions. Effective July 1, 2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO AGRICULTURE. Authorizes $10,000,000 in special purpose revenue bonds to assist Kauai Coffee Company Incorporated in the planning, construction, and operation of a coffee processing facility for the production of Hawaii-grown coffee products. (SD1)

RELATING TO AGRICULTURAL COMMODITIES. Requires proof of identification from sellers of agricultural commodities. Establishes criminal penalties for failure to maintain a certificate of ownership or other written proof of ownership of agricultural commodities. Makes theft of agricultural commodities an offense of theft in the second degree and establishes lack of ownership or movement certificates as prima facie evidence of the theft. Effective 07/01/50. Persons wishing to offer comments should submit testimony at least 24 hours prior to the hearing with a transmittal cover indicating:
· Testifier's name with position/title and organization;

Testimony submitted will be placed on the Legislative Web site after the hearing adjourns. This public posting of testimony on the Web site should be considered when including personal information in your testimony.
