A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. (a) The stadium authority is directed to transfer the development rights of the parcel of land identified as tax map key to the public land development corporation; provided that the stadium authority shall continue to execute its responsibilities relating to negotiating or executing a contract for any request for proposal or managing any existing contract until the public land development corporation is able to assume the negotiating, oversight, and management responsibilities relating to the existing contract or request for proposal, as the case may be, or until June 30, 2013, whichever occurs first.
(b) The public land development corporation shall coordinate the development of the land pursuant to chapter 171C, Hawaii Revised Statutes, notwithstanding any portion of the land is private land.
SECTION 2. All deeds, leases, contracts, loans, agreements, permits, or other documents executed or entered into by or on behalf of the stadium authority pursuant to the provisions of the Hawaii Revised Statutes, applicable to development rights of tax map key , are being transferred pursuant to this Act and shall remain in full force and effect, unless affirmatively amended by the appropriate agency, under due process. Upon the effective date of this Act, every reference to the stadium authority applicable to development rights of tax map key , that are being transferred pursuant to this Act shall be construed as a reference to the public land development corporation.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
