A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CONTRACT PROPOSALS FOR CHILD CARE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Section 103F-401.5, Hawaii Revised Statutes, is amended by amending subsection (a) to read as follows:
"(a) No contract proposals shall be
accepted from any applicant who lacks any license necessary to conduct the
business being sought by the request for proposals[.], with the
exception of proposals from applicants to operate a child care program required
to be licensed pursuant to section 346-161."
SECTION 2. Statutory material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New statutory material is underscored.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
